                    Members of the AI and blockchain community have shared their views on the concerns posted by the Ethereum founder; some concur, while others disagree with the points laid out by Vitalik Buterin. 
                    Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin’s blog post highlighting the threats he sees that artificial intelligence (AI) could pose to humanity has attracted a slew of fiery responses from AI and blockchain community members.On Nov. 27, Buterin published a blog post titled “My techno-optimism,” which discussed how AI is “fundamentally different” from other inventions like guns, airplanes and social media. Furthermore, Buterin explained that it could develop a new form of “mind,” which could work against humans and become the new apex species.The blog post attracted discussions on various fronts and sparked different sentiments on X (formerly Twitter). Some voiced their agreement with the Ethereum founder, while others shared their criticisms of the post. An X account called Emergent Perspective, which focuses on events in the internet age, replied that they agree with Buterin’s thoughts on the blog post. According to the X user, people who argue that positive intentions can guarantee that AI “can do no harm” scare them. “That has been true of absolutely nothing in human history, and this will not be the first exception,” they added. Another X user voiced other worries about AI. A community member who goes as “Wei Dai” on X said that one of their concerns is that AI may inherently disfavor defense, decentralization and democracy. Another community member criticized Buterin and claimed that technology specialists like Buterin “seem to have a complete disregard or immature view” of human psychology. The community member argued that the motivation behind building “morally poor” human experiences is always money. Meanwhile, a community member also argued on X that one of the problems with the blog post is Buterin’s predefined idea of humanitarian values. The community member explained that these should not be predefined and must come after and with the technology. While many expressed their agreement and disagreements, others simply sat on the fence, saying they look forward to participating in humanity’s collective effort to find the answers. Vitalik Buterin thinks AI may surpass humans, community responds

The recent saga surrounding OpenAI and its co-founder Sam Altman has sparked a surge of interest in AI tokens, with total weekly trade volume surpassing $2 billion for the first time since March, fresh data from Kaiko, a blockchain analytics platform, shows. According to statistics, WLD, the native token on Worldcoin, a project co-founded by Altman, and other tokens, including FET, the primary coin behind the AI-reliant blockchain, Fetch.ai, appear to be primary gainers. Even so, WLD prices remain below November 2023 lows when writing. WLD Remains Volatile  Even so, looking at market data, the spike in crypto AI trading volume seems driven mainly by WLD activity. Looking at the project’s share, trading volume comprises over 33% of all related crypto AI trading volume.  While there is a noticeable spike in activity, it remains below the all-time high of above $4 billion in Q1 2023. Then, traders and investors were keen on AGIX, the SingularityNET token. However, over the months, Worldcoin has since taken over as investor interest shifted to WLD, evidenced by the gradual rise of trading volume. All these events have contributed to the market’s heightened interest in WLD. Accordingly, trading volume across the broader crypto AI scene stands above the $2 billion level for the first time since March.   The Sam Altman And OpenAI Drama Turns Attention To Worldcoin Though there is no direct connection between OpenAI and Worldcoin, crypto participants focus on events at OpenAI and how the board handled Altman as a factor catalyzing WLD’s activity.  The general lack of clarity on why the board ousted Altman as CEO worsens the situation, sparking speculation that this could also impact WLD’s prices and how Worldcoin is governed, considering the former CEO is also behind the crypto AI project.                     SingularityNET CEO Ben Goertzel said it’s important to make AI systems available in decentralized networks and not controlled by elite groups.
                    Research and development firm Dfinity Foundation has partnered with artificial intelligence (AI)-focused blockchain firm SingularityNET to improve the infrastructure of decentralized AI and allow decentralized applications (DApps) on the Internet Computer blockchain to access large language models (LLMs). On Nov. 20, the companies announced the launch of a joint initiative to integrate the ICP blockchain with the SingularityNET marketplace. According to a statement sent to Cointelegraph, the initiative aims to address the lack of transparency in the training data of AI tools because of its centralized nature. The two companies believe decentralizing AI models will make them tamper-proof and transparent. With the collaboration, blockchain developers who want to connect with AI can use the ICP network. The announcement highlighted that decentralized AI models on ICP are run within smart contracts, which makes the training parameters of the LLMs tamper-proof and open source. Apart from the blockchain integration, the two companies will also connect their grant programs. According to the announcement, this aims to “stimulate community developer engagement” and provide resources that can be used to advance decentralized AI.                     Worldcoin (WLD), the token of Sam Altman’s retina-scanning project of the same name, saw major volatility over the past few days as he was ousted from OpenAI, reported to be in talks to make a return before finally being replaced. WLD saw a Nov. 16 high of $2.48 before starting a slide that accelerated after Altman was outed by OpenAI late on Nov. 17 in the United States which saw it drop to a low of nearly $1.84, according to CoinGecko data.It bounced back, surging 12% over the past 24 hours to reach an intraday high of $2.54 during Monday morning Asian trading then again dropped to $2.30 after Altman was replaced as CEO by Twitch co-founder Emmett Shear.Seven-day WLD price.
